The South Carolina Senator cuts through the bravado and
bluster of Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn to focus on a couple of important
points. During yesterday’s Senate hearing on a proposed assault weapons ban,
the Chief was lauded for his passionate plea to prevent ownership of
semi-automatic firearms. Graham, however, was not distracted nor impressed by
Flyn’s outbursts. Instead, he made the case that existing gun laws are not
enforced. As Flynn well knows, the gun
charges brought against the thugs his department apprehends are often the first
ones prosecutors agree to dismiss during plea bargaining negotiations.
The Left thinks the Chief got the better of Graham in this exchange. What do you think?
If only Flynn would display the same level of passion and
indignation at the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office for failure to
take existing gun laws seriously.
