Gov. Walker launched a full-spectrum website to serve as a hub for a grassroots and digital campaign.
Scott Walker's Budget pitch continues.
Just as he was concluding his address before a joint session of the Wisconsin Legislature, Governor Walker's team activated a digital and grassroots campaign to lobby and pass the budget.
Launching a new website with quick links to a petition, a form for crafting letters to the editor and legislators, and links to news and information about the budget proposal, WalkerBudget.comwill serve as the hub for a full spectrum public campaign to pass the budget.
Many will recognize Gov. Walker’s use of a campaign apparatus to push for a policy objective as reminiscent of the campaign operation of President Obama, who recently activated his campaign structure to lobby for gun control.
Gov. Walker’s budget proposal was announced on Wednesday night at the Capitol, and the website's online petition already has nearly 3,000 signatories.
