An email from a former student of MU Law prof Ed Fallone, who is running as the union-backed candidate for state Supreme Court:

I read your 1/8/13 post on Ed Fallone... I took constitutional law at Marquette law school with the guy a few years ago and I can tell you that I doubt he’d be anything close to “independent”...  Professor Fallone is a liberal’s dream come true for the SC. He didn’t have too much patience for opposing arguments and I found his logic sometimes flawed (but he was a fair grader, I’ll give him that).
